Campus Ministry

WELS Lutheran Campus Ministry offers students attending colleges and universities across the country the opportunity to stay close to the Lord Jesus, meet new Christian friends and grow in faith and Christian service during the vital college years.

Students receive a Meditations and Forward in Christ, get Lightsource (a periodical for college students filled with ideas for spiritual growth), and learn about the regionally and national campus gatherings.

Please call the church office at St. John's (612-379-4296) and make sure that we have your school address. We can then get you in touch with the campus ministry near you.

Tuition Assistance

Students are back in the classroom. What a blessing it is when that classroom is a place where the students can sit at the feet of Jesus and hear the Word of Life! Here's a list of students from St. John's who are attending schools supported by the congregation:

At St. John's, we have the "Missioner Paul Fund, " named after the great missionary to the nations: the apostle Paul. It is also a way that we remember Pastor Paul C. Dowidat, pastor of St. John's from 1904–1962. Gifts to this fund are distributed first to those young people from St. John's who are studying for the public ministry, and then, we help those students at other Lutheran schools who have a financial need.

May the name of the Lord be praised as we teach the next generation the precious trusths of God's Word!
