Monthly Expenses
Our Stewardship Committee has come up with some expenses St. John’s incurs regularly. Please check out the envelopes hanging on the bulletin board by the Service Desk and prayerfully consider paying one or more of these bills as a special offering above and beyond your usual offerings. Thank you to all who have contributed to this fund! We have raised $2,194.66 so far.
Thanks to all who contributed to the cost of the sidewalk replacement. We were able to pay the City of Minneapolis before any interest accrued.
The budget with ending date June 30, 2009 (FYE2009) was passed by our congregation with an unfunded portion of approximately $40,000. The actual shortfall between income and expenses was $22,773.40 for FYE2009. These expenses for FYE2009 were covered by borrowing $22,773.40 from the Parsonage Trust Fund. Thus at the end of FYE2009 the General Fund needed to pay back to the Parsonage Trust Fund $22,773.40.
At the Congregational Meeting on October 25, 2009 the Congregation passed a resolution approving use of $22,773.40 from the Parsonage Trust Fund to cover expenses in the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2009 (FYE2009). This funded the actual deficit of $22,773.40 for FYE2009 with funds from the Parsonage Trust Fund.
The gap between income and expenditures so far for the budget period ending June 30, 2010(FYE2010) will have to be covered by increased offerings, expenditure from a non-offering source or a significant cut in the approved budget for FYE2010.
