About Pastor Lindner: Daniel Mark Lindner was born on January 25, 1978, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Mark and Barbara Lindner. His father was attending Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary at the time. He lived in Mobridge, South Dakota for his pre-grade school years and then his family moved to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, which he called home for 21 years.
In 1996, Dan graduated from Luther Preparatory School as a member of the newly amalgamated school's first graduating class. Through encouragement of his family, home congregation, and the Luther Prep Faculty, Dan enrolled in the pastor program at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated from MLC in 2000, and started his Seminary training in Mequon, Wisconsin, the following fall.
After his first two years at the Seminary, Dan served as vicar at the congregation of Cristo Glorificado in Puebla, Mexico under the supervision of Pastor Larry Schlomer. Dan returned to the Seminary for his senior year and graduated on May 21, 2004.
Dan was then assigned as a tutor to Nebraska Lutheran High School in Waco, Nebraska.
During his two years there, he was able to serve by teaching English, Human Relations, Latin, and Religion. Dan also enjoyed helping coach both football and boys' basketball. He also enjoyed his time as a dorm supervisor.
Dan's father, Mark Lindner, is a pastor at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. His mother, Barbara, is a nurse at a Beaver Dam nursing home. Dan has three siblings—his sister Kathryn is married to Pastor Steve Neyhart in North Platte, Nebraska, with two children, Madelyn and Aaron. Dan's sister Abby is a nurse in Milwaukee. Dan's brother David is enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
